Shelby Cobra 289 FIA – CSX 7000
(Aluminum)
The 289 FIA is the race version of the original 1962 Cobra street roadster. The 289 FIA Cobra dominated tracks throughout the 1960’s. It was the precursor to the Cobra Daytona Coupe which won the World Manufacturer’s Championship and beating Ferrari in FIA competition in 1965. The current 289 FIA Cobras feature many of the upgraded components, but Shelby American has retained the transverse leaf spring suspension to maintain the driving feel of the original. The CSX 7000 roller is available in an aluminum or fiberglass body
